At 10 o’clock we will start our trip to the mountains. The route will take over the Georgian Military Highway up North towards the border with Russia. First sight will be Zhinvali Reservoir, it was built in 1986 and is responsible for water supply of the capital Tbilisi. After 20 minutes you will feel the spirit of one of the most significant fortresses of the medieval Georgia. Continue our drive to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for the fact that being different in color they still keep their own colors even after merge. Then we will move to Pasanauri where we will have lunch. After having lunch we will visit Friendship Wall in Gudauri, on the inside of the round concrete wall, you’ll find an impressive mosaic mural painted in vivid colors, depicting scenes from Russian and Georgian history. A round terrace offers an almost 360-degree view of the snowcapped surroundings. The Kazbegi region is rich in minerals, and a sulfur spring near the road side has become quite a tourist attraction. From there we will move to Stepantsminda for visiting Gergeti Trinity church by special jeeps, which was built in 14th century, the church is located at 2170 meters above the sea. After our walking on the mountains we will head back to Tbilisi. Drop-off at your hotel.
